- Detect and analyze operational challenges, process inefficiencies, and waste by reviewing key performance indicators, conducting data analysis, observing floor operations, studying workflows, and gathering stakeholder input.
- Develop and help execute project plans designed to improve productivity, quality, cost-effectiveness, capacity utilization, and service level compliance.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, process mapping, root cause analysis, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operations.
- Support initiatives to reduce costs and increase operational effectiveness, including boosting units per hour/person, minimizing errors, accelerating throughput, and lowering unit cost.
- Monitor project milestones, manage action item follow-ups, assess risks, and deliver periodic updates to warehouse leadership and involved parties.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, performance trackers, and documentation to facilitate data-informed decisions.
- Collaborate with warehouse managers, supervisors, third-party logistics teams, and cross-department partners to guarantee effective project execution and consistent application of processes.
- Develop, revise, and standardize standard operating procedures, process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, labor use evaluations, and performance enhancement efforts.
- Assist in launching new processes, upgrading systems, optimizing warehouse operations, and handling other special projects linked to warehouse and supply chain functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in warehouse or supply chain operations, logistics, project coordination, process improvement, industrial engineering, or operational analytics.
- Preferred background includes experience in e-commerce, retail distribution, third-party logistics, fulfillment centers, or fast-paced warehouse settings.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse key performance indicators such as units per hour (UPH), pieces per hour (PPH), service level agreements (SLA), defect rates (DPMO), inventory accuracy, unit costs, productivity, quality, and labor efficiency.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement approaches including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, process mapping, time studies, and root cause analysis.
- Strong analytical capability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), labor management software or comparable warehouse operation platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent project coordination, problem-solving, follow-up, and communication skills.
