Position Summary
The Program Monitor plays a vital support role to the Team Lead and Associate Director by overseeing compliance and accountability of providers involved in the federal food program. Managing around 25 meal sites, the monitor ensures accurate meal tracking and documentation. Responsibilities include site communication, training, monitoring visits, and maintaining paperwork standards to uphold program quality focused on delivering healthy meals to low-income children.
Key Duties
- Conduct 3-5 site reviews weekly to verify compliance, service quality, and proper meal distribution.
- Perform regular site visits to collect necessary documentation and provide hands-on technical assistance.
- Assess and provide feedback on site paperwork to ensure adherence to procedures.
- Keep detailed program records and monitoring documents.
- Prepare spreadsheets and reports as requested by supervisory staff.
- Identify and proactively resolve compliance concerns.
- Participate in weekly progress meetings and meet monthly objectives.
- Conduct pre-operational and recruitment visits for new site onboarding.
- Support prospective sites through enrollment and assist the rollout of digital service implementation.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with site personnel, partner agencies, and FLIPANY staff across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma with some post-secondary coursework in social work, nutrition, youth services, or relevant experience; Associate's degree preferred.
- Experience in administrative and customer service roles.
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Skills and Abilities
- Reliable transportation availability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams for program management and communication.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and administrative abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication with customer service focus.
- Ability to build constructive relationships with youth, site staff, and partners.
- Balance between engaging youth instruction and ensuring monitoring compliance.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and deadlines.
