Role Overview
We are looking to appoint a skilled Production Planner to join our Operations team at our advanced production site located in NetPark, Sedgefield. This crucial position involves managing the planning processes that ensure the timely delivery of complex RF, microwave, and millimetre-wave technologies in fast-paced and demanding industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining, and coordinating production plans that align with customer delivery schedules and optimize manufacturing resources.
- Collaborating with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project teams to balance demand, material supplies, capacity, and operational needs.
- Ensuring production plans are realistic, visible, and executable while proactively identifying and escalating potential risks affecting delivery.
- Converting customer orders, demand forecasts, and project requirements into achievable production schedules.
- Monitoring material availability and manufacturing capacity, while maintaining accurate ERP/MRP planning data.
- Supporting daily and weekly production reviews with updates on priorities, risks, progress, and necessary actions.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing planning processes, schedule adherence, operational transparency, and production flow.
Required Experience and Skills
- Pertinent experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, supply chain planning, or materials control, preferably within manufacturing, engineering, electronics, or high-reliability production contexts.
- Strong familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Deep understanding of production flow, capacity planning, material management, and work-in-progress monitoring.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and clear communication skills with stakeholders across various departments.
- Exposure to electronics, RF, microwave, semiconductor, aerospace, defence, or advanced manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Experience with new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, or production ramp-ups is a plus.

Candidates should be proactive, methodical, and composed under pressure, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a manufacturing setting. Strong risk identification, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are essential for maintaining plan adherence.
