Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the development of the reporting and analytics capabilities within the Revel platform. Every customer interaction generates extensive data—thousands of telemetry channels captured at high frequency over extended testing periods and live operations. While the platform collects this data comprehensively, this role will determine how customers analyze, interpret, and leverage this information effectively.

This position entails defining and shaping product features from scratch based on strong customer demand, rather than maintaining pre-established roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product strategy for managing and utilizing the data generated by customer systems, guiding initiatives from unclear problems to finalized products.
• Collaborate horizontally across multiple teams to align on user experiences and target personas alongside engineering colleagues.
• Engage directly with the product using authentic test data to base product decisions on practical experience instead of indirect reports.
• Simplify complex technical processes into clear, user-friendly interfaces.
• Interact extensively with various users including test engineers, controls engineers, and decision-makers to understand current data usage and the questions these analyses need to address.
• Work closely with the Head of Product and CEO to ensure aligned vision and execution.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven history of launching technically sophisticated, data-centric products with a strong focus on quality and usability beyond mere delivery.
• Comfortable engaging with engineers specializing in systems, infrastructure, or other technical domains.
• Capable of converting user problems into product ideas and delivering final experiences.
• Proactively initiates work without needing fully defined requirements.
• Prioritizes product excellence and user satisfaction along with timely delivery.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Between 5 and 10 years of experience in Product Management.
• Background in big data analytics and designing reporting solutions.
• Skillful at extracting actionable insights from user feedback and translating them into product features.
• Experienced in coordinating engineering teams to realize product visions.
• Demonstrated ability to forge consensus internally for engineering and product projects.
• Practical experience with analytical workflows.
• A degree in engineering.

Additional Advantages

• Experience with software related to hardware systems.
• Knowledge in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with sophisticated, interactive software such as CAD or simulation tools.
• Understanding of systems governed by complex models or logic.
• Skill in connecting intricate backend operations with user-facing products.
• Experience designing for a broad array of users, from experts to novices.
• Frontend or design skills in technologies like React or TypeScript, enabling independent prototyping and iteration.
• Familiarity with data query languages such as SQL.
