Product Designer

About the Role

A prominent financial institution client is seeking a Product Designer for a contract position spanning over 12 months with full-time hours and onsite presence 3 to 4 times a week in downtown Toronto. The role emphasizes designing digital loyalty products.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead product designer within an agile multidisciplinary squad, handling day-to-day design work.
• Collaborate closely with content designers and researchers supporting several squads.
• Partner with the Product Owner and coordinate with the Design Manager for managing design requirements and deliverables.
• Create interaction and visual designs from initial concepts to developer-ready designs.
• Present design solutions to product and cross-functional stakeholders while articulating rationale based on data, research, and best practices.
• Maintain brand consistency and accessibility standards leveraging the design system.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure efficient and quality delivery.
• Ensure uniformity across user journeys by liaising with marketing and branding teams.
• Act as the squad's design representative during Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Product or UX Designer.
• Demonstrated experience working with financial or loyalty products.
• Availability of case studies to exhibit design expertise.

This position involves potential access to sensitive client or customer systems and proprietary financial data. It requires onsite work and close collaboration in a team environment.

Compensation

The offered hourly rate ranges between $55 and $60 CAD, paid as a T4 contractor.
