Procurement Manager

Role Overview

The Procurement Manager position entails full accountability for assigned procurement activities across the organization. The role involves identifying sourcing opportunities, formulating sourcing strategies, managing procurement operations, assessing supplier capabilities, and overseeing procurement outcomes. The successful candidate will manage procurement functions supporting diverse projects and business units, influence senior internal leadership and external suppliers, and thoroughly understand stakeholder needs and procurement policies to effectively deliver products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process by gathering stakeholder requirements, preparing RFP documents, and coordinating associated activities.
• Identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities and monitor savings achievements.
• Assess and compare supplier proposals critically.
• Review purchasing contracts, understand contract language, and negotiate to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop and nurture supplier partnerships.
• Coordinate performance evaluations with key suppliers and internal teams to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Analyze supplier expenditure and process data to suggest enhancements proactively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and consolidate needs where feasible.
• Serve as an intermediary between stakeholders and suppliers to ensure business requirements are optimally fulfilled.
• Provide regular status updates on procurement projects and initiatives to stakeholders and management.
• Educate and guide stakeholders on the benefits of adhering to procurement policies, procedures, and tools.
• Expand procurement impact by influencing project teams, customer groups, and peers.
• Lead or contribute to project teams focused on resolving procurement issues in partnership with stakeholders and procurement leadership.
• Ensure compliance with all purchasing guidelines and that department standards are consistently followed and enforced.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience as a Procurement Manager.
• Two openings available: one focused on IT procurement and another on IT and marketing procurement.
• Experience with Coupa procurement software is preferred.
• Familiarity with contract management systems.
• Background in real estate is an advantage.

Employment Details

• Work location: Remote within the United States.
• Compensation: $60 to $65 per hour on W2 basis.
