Pharmacist - Full Time, Hourly, Day Shift

Position Overview

Join a community-focused, locally owned pharmacy dedicated to offering health, beauty, and convenience services. Play a pivotal role in placing the customer at the heart of all interactions while managing daily pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers approaching the pharmacy with professionalism and care.
• Operate within all applicable federal and provincial legal, regulatory, and privacy guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and proper consent management.
• Dispense medications accurately while providing thorough counselling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
• Utilize the full scope of professional pharmacy services within your competence to enhance customer care.
• Maintain clear identification as a pharmacist to the public.
• Engage with other healthcare providers to coordinate optimal care.
• Keep comprehensive records aligned with legislation, standards of practice, and internal policies.
• Control dispensary access safeguarding inventory and patient confidentiality.
• Manage workflow queues daily and oversee stock including timely review of 'will call' bins and expired inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders with wholesalers to maintain adequate stock.
• Ensure strict compliance with Controlled Drugs and Substances Act requirements and promptly report to Health Canada and regulatory agencies as required.
• Maintain a clean, professional pharmacy environment including workstations, waiting areas, and counseling spaces.
• Handle financial reporting tasks as required and promptly respond to internal communications.
• Report any incidents related to medication or privacy swiftly and accurately.

Compensation
