Job description
Overview
The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a Payroll Account Technician to support the District Office's Payroll Department. This part-time position involves an 8-hour workday with full benefits or cash compensation in lieu of benefits, with preference given to internal candidates.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least three years of clerical experience, including a minimum of one year in financial record keeping. Completion of college coursework in accounting and familiarity with payroll laws and regulations are highly desirable. Pre-employment requirements, to be fulfilled at the employee's expense if hired, include TB clearance and fingerprinting.
Additional Information
- Applicants must submit a resume and at least one signed letter of recommendation to be considered.
- Proof of high school or equivalent completion is required upon selection.
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break.
- The position offers either full medical, dental, and vision benefits or cash compensation if current coverage is verified.
