Part-Time Pasture Care Assistant for Horses (Manure Collection)

Role Overview

We care for 11 cherished horses and ponies who support equine therapy programs for individuals in the community facing disabilities or daily life challenges. Maintaining clean paddocks by collecting manure daily is essential to ensure their wellbeing. The collected manure is bagged and sold locally for gardening purposes, serving as a valuable fundraiser.

Job Details

Though it may not seem glamorous, this role offers rewarding experiences outdoors, helping happy, healthy horses perform their unique roles. Suitable for those looking to spend time outside while contributing meaningful work, this position also provides light exercise. A farm vehicle is available, so you won’t be required to use a wheelbarrow throughout the paddocks.

Requirements

• Physical fitness to handle the duties.
• Ability to work alongside another person.
• No prior horse experience is needed; training and safety guidance will be provided.
• Police background check is mandatory.

Time Commitment

Approximately 2 hours per day, starting at 8:00 AM.
