Overview
Join the Greenspace Services team at Blacktown City Council to contribute to maintaining the city's parks, reserves, and open areas. Help ensure these communal spaces remain attractive and accessible as the city expands.
Responsibilities
Perform routine groundskeeping duties such as mowing lawns, edging, planting, pruning, watering garden beds, weed removal, and litter picking. Operate machinery including mowers and whipper snippers securely, perform maintenance on tools and equipment, and meet established timelines and quality standards.
Collaborate with team leaders and crew members to maintain Council-owned facilities and community spaces in a clean, safe, and well-presented manner. Identify potential hazards, adhere to safety regulations, and execute tasks with professionalism and efficiency.
Working Conditions
The role primarily involves physical, outdoor work in parks and recreational spaces, helping create safe and welcoming environments for community sports, leisure, and activities.
