Operator (Command & Control)

Job Overview

The Operator (Command & Control) is responsible for managing and supervising process plants and facilities in the designated area, ensuring operations are conducted safely and in line with company procedures and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute assigned operational tasks safely according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify defects and liaise with supervisors for maintenance arrangements.
• Monitor and regulate speed, temperature, pressure, and flow parameters to ensure smooth shutdowns and startups.
• Prepare plant and equipment for servicing, ensuring functionality aligns with other systems and equipment.
• Manage chemical receipt, maintain accurate stock and consumption records, and prepare chemical batches in compliance with procedures and HSE guidelines.
• Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently as per company standards.
• Adhere to all applicable safety, quality, and environmental policies to ensure employee safety, compliance with laws, and high-quality output.
• Obtain necessary work permits and oversee contractor activities to enforce safety regulations.
• Fulfill roles as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies according to the Facility Response Plan.
• Receive and execute instructions from supervisors to perform duties effectively and securely.
• Prepare key performance indicator checklists for management review.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Technical Diploma in a relevant discipline or completion of Secondary School Certificate.
• A minimum of 4 years experience in plant operations within a large industrial facility, specifically in the Oil and Gas sector.
