Officer - Quality & Hygiene

Overview

The Quality and Hygiene Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the implementation and maintenance of hygiene and food safety standards throughout store operations, contributing to delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and enforce internal quality standards in the store.
• Conduct inspections to evaluate food safety and quality standards and drive ongoing improvements.
• Maintain accurate records to track quality and hygiene metrics effectively.
• Stay informed on current food safety and hygiene regulations and best practices.
• Perform annual audits and enforce corrective measures following any discrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage of fresh food items complies with established standards and procedures.
• Verify that food storage equipment adheres to required health and safety guidelines.
• Oversee the segregation, storage, and prompt disposal of waste materials.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related discipline.
• Certification in Food Safety or equivalent qualifications are mandatory.
• Between 2 and 4 years of experience in quality control, hygiene, or food safety roles within HORECA, governmental organizations, food manufacturing, or horticulture industries.
• Strong time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills.
