Job Overview

This role focuses on advocating for and implementing sound nutrition practices among employees and surrounding community members.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company policies, relevant regulations, and legal requirements related to health, safety, environment, quality, finance, and human resources in alignment with the role's scope.
  • Design and execute nutrition programs both in the workplace and local communities.
  • Collaborate with neighboring health facilities to carry out nutrition-focused activities, including initiatives within schools.
  • Deliver nutrition counseling services to employees and community clients.
  • Identify children facing nutritional issues accurately, provide management guidance, and perform referrals as needed.
  • Engage in producing and distributing health information materials to raise awareness about good nutrition among workforce and community members.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate nutrition program outcomes to assess effectiveness and impact.
  • Prepare sectional budgets punctually to ensure adequate financial resource availability.
  • Oversee the proper planning and management of financial and material resources for program execution.
  • Conduct timely research to generate evidence supporting program enhancements.
  • Produce regular and timely reports to assist in informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Completion of Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma in Nutrition at a minimum.
  • Possession of a valid Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) practicing license.
  • Valid manual driver's license.
  • Qualifications validated by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
  • At least five years' experience in areas including community nutrition, nutrition counseling, mother and child health, school nutrition health, and health promotion.
