Role Overview
Join Clinikally as a New Product Development (NPD) Specialist to spearhead the full spectrum of skincare product innovation, from initial concept to market introduction. This role requires active engagement with multiple departments including R&D, marketing, supply chain, regulatory, and manufacturing to ensure delivery of high-quality, effective, and compliant skincare solutions.
Responsibilities
- Innovate and refine new skincare product ideas grounded in current market trends, consumer preferences, and brand vision.
- Lead and manage the entire NPD process, maintaining adherence to schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with various teams such as packaging, procurement, regulatory, marketing, and operations to transition products from concept through to retail availability.
- Select critical ingredients, assess prototype formulations, and enhance product composition for effectiveness, stability, and safety while liaising with derma-specialized manufacturers and suppliers.
- Manage consumer testing phases including sensory evaluations and feedback mechanisms to confirm market readiness.
- Ensure products comply with relevant regulations including BIS, FDA, EU directives, managing claims, labeling, and documentation.
- Oversee budget allocation and resource utilization throughout the NPD lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Educational background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cosmetology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or an allied discipline.
- Experience spanning 3 to 5 years within new product development focused on skincare, personal care, or cosmeceutical domains.
- Demonstrated success in launching skincare products to market.
- Thorough knowledge of formulation science alongside regulatory frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with manufacturers specializing in dermatological products is advantageous.
- Exceptional skills in project management and cross-disciplinary teamwork.
- Acute insight into beauty industry dynamics and emerging ingredient technologies.
