About the Role
The National Account Manager is tasked with managing omni-channel partnerships, setting strategic priorities, and ensuring excellent execution that drives sales and profitability. This role requires maintaining ongoing communication with buying teams and other key stakeholders to understand customer needs while aligning with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Align company strategies with retail account objectives and goals.
- Establish and nurture relationships across all levels of retail customers.
- Manage existing product listings, identify new business opportunities, and support product launches.
- Develop profitable growth strategies for customers and categories.
- Create monthly sales and demand forecasts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competition, and account developments.
- Maintain strong partnerships with key national accounts.
- Understand the individual needs and goals of each account.
- Achieve or surpass sales and revenue targets for national accounts.
- Identify chances to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services.
- Coordinate with various teams to create strategic account plans.
- Design and implement strategies to meet long-term business goals.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with national accounts.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues during account management.
- Communicate product and service value effectively to national accounts.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify challenges impacting account success and develop solutions.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and offer data-driven insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Proven training in strategic negotiations.
- Experience analyzing data to produce actionable insights.
- Keen interest in retail dynamics and evolving marketplaces.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Proactive and inventive problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset.
- Aptitude for collaboration across departments.

- Familiarity with industry and market factors related to relevant products/services.

- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of account management experience within CPG retail, preferably with retailers like Albertsons, H-E-B, and Publix.
- Hands-on experience with item-level forecasting.
- Demonstrated history in sales or account management roles.
- Previous experience managing key or national accounts is beneficial.
Work Environment
This position is remote with occasional travel required for meetings.
