Job description
Overview
This is a permanent role as a Mobile Specialist Cleaner offering a salary of £32,250 annually along with a company van. The position involves working across a variety of retail and commercial sites primarily in the Cardiff and South Wales areas. The role supports a major UK retail portfolio and requires traveling to different locations rather than being site-based.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high and low-level cleaning duties at retail, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Conduct specialist external cleaning such as commercial window cleaning and pressure washing.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks according to established specifications and timelines.
- Respond to reactive cleaning requests as necessary.
- Operate safely at heights using the correct equipment.
- Maintain cleaning tools, including tasks like changing O-rings to keep equipment serviceable.
- Utilize company PDA or mobile apps for job reporting and documentation.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and store personnel.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety standards as well as company policies.
Work Schedule
- Work any five days within a seven-day week with flexibility needed for early starts.
- Occasional overnight stays may be necessary, with hotel accommodations covered.
- Average on-site work is around seven hours with eight hours paid.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in commercial window cleaning, specialist cleaning, or external cleaning is required.
- Proficiency in using pressure washing and jet washing equipment.
- Comfortable working at height.
- Possession of IPAF 3a/3b license and IPAF Harness User qualification is preferred; training available if not held.
- Must hold a full UK driving license.
- Comfortable with IT and mobile/PDA technology use.
- Reliable, professional, customer-focused, and flexible to travel throughout South Wales and occasionally stay away from home.
