Role overview
NTT DATA is hiring a remote claims processing associate to support its end client’s team. This position focuses on medical claims work and is based from home.

Location: Remote, work from home
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Start date: 8/6/2026
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT
Employment type: Contract to hire
What you will do
- Handle professional claim forms submitted by providers.
- Check policies and benefit details before making decisions.
- Follow company rules for HIPAA, confidentiality, and protected health information.
- Complete required compliance training for both NTT Data and the client within the stated timelines.
- Research, evaluate, and act on claims independently.
- Organize work by priority and process claims within turnaround times and SLAs.
- Adjudicate claims according to the client’s workflows and guidelines.
- Maintain the client’s productivity and quality expectations to avoid penalties.
- Keep quality scores above 98.5% PA and 99.75% FA.
- Respond promptly to claims received by email and resolve them as priority work.
- Accurately determine claim payment amounts using the applicable methodology and fee schedule.
Required background
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on healthcare claims processing experience.
- At least 2 years of experience using Windows-based computer applications with a keyboard, moving through multiple screens and systems, and learning new tools.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience working in a queue-based, remote P&Q environment.
- Strong keyboarding ability and overall computer comfort.
- Ability to switch between screens and navigate several systems at once.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must be available online from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST; training must be completed on camera.
- Good troubleshooting, research, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to adapt in a complex, changing environment.
- Clear oral and written communication skills in a professional office setting.
Preferred experience
- Experience with Amisys is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
The starting pay for this role is $18.00 per hour. NTT DATA states that compensation may vary depending on location, experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
