Mechanical Project Engineer - Construction

Role overview

A prominent MEP contracting firm in the UAE is hiring Mechanical Project Engineers / Mechanical Site Engineers with experience in HVAC and plumbing works for construction projects in Dubai.

What you will do

• Oversee on-site execution of mechanical works, with a focus on HVAC and plumbing installations.
• Interpret shop drawings and translate them into correct site installation activities.
• Prepare material take-offs from shop drawings and raise material order requests as required.
• Review site conditions and coordinate work based on the project’s practical requirements.
• Manage labour teams by setting work targets, tracking productivity, and helping meet project budget goals through effective manpower use.

Required background

• Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience is needed in executing either plumbing or HVAC installations within MEP construction projects.
• Project exposure should include different types of developments such as high-rise buildings and villa communities.
• Candidates should be comfortable working with shop drawings, site installation planning, material quantity extraction, and work coordination.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC or plumbing systems is expected; senior-level candidates should also be able to handle related technical calculations.
