About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer at Seatrium, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving equipment failures through detailed root cause analyses, aiming to implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Collaborating closely with the Engineering department, you will work on technical specifications for machinery installation and document project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment failures and recurring breakdowns to conduct thorough root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with Engineering teams to finalize technical specifications and prepare documentation for machinery and system installations.
- Support the preparation of procedures, risk assessments, and HSE work method statements under guidance to ensure compliance.
- Develop job lists, plan work schedules, and manage manpower resources including yard staff and contractors effectively.
- Participate actively in project meetings to monitor progress and communicate updates with team members and stakeholders.
- Work closely with HSE, QA/QC teams, subcontractors, statutory and classification authorities for inspection scheduling and compliance review.
- Ensure maintenance, calibration, repairs, and servicing of workshop and onboard equipment and machinery are conducted timely and properly.
- Engage in continuous learning by attending educational opportunities and staying updated with emerging engineering practices.
- Propose improvements to work methods by evaluating workflows for operational efficiency and enhanced functionality.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
- Open to entry-level applicants; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Strong command of English, both written and oral.
- Capability to board ships, work in confined spaces with low visibility, and climb stairs or ladders of various heights.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:15 PM.
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
