About the Division and Role
The Head of IT Transformation leads the implementation of the bank’s technology strategies across the Asia Pacific region, focusing on digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This senior leadership position manages significant technology change initiatives including modernization of the core systems, overseeing IT operations, architecture, and vendor relationships to support business growth and improve customer-focused innovations.

Department and Location
This role is situated in the Asia-Pacific Corporate Function Coordination Department, within the Transformation Office based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the bank’s IT strategy execution and transformation efforts ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Drive cross-departmental teams to realize digital transformation and modernization of IT systems and processes.
- Oversee the IT Transformation portfolio including technology investment prioritization, resource distribution, and budgeting.
- Guarantee all IT projects comply with applicable banking regulations, security mandates, and risk frameworks.
- Establish governance for IT changes and adherence to regulatory compliance.
- Manage IT operations ensuring robust, scalable, and secure technology infrastructure.
- Provide leadership in enterprise IT architecture, setting technology standards and maintaining industry best practices.
- Handle strategic vendor relations and contract negotiations to maximize value and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with various business units to implement technology-driven improvements across Retail, Corporate, Risk, and Compliance sectors.
- Report on transformation milestones, risks and strategic prospects to executive leadership.
- Promote talent growth, succession planning, and skill advancement within IT teams.
- Cultivate an environment of innovation, cooperation and continuous enhancement across the IT department.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, with preference for a Master’s degree.
- Substantial experience in senior IT leadership roles particularly in banking or financial services.
- Proven success leading large-scale IT transformations and digital modernization projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations, security policies, and risk management techniques.
- Strong proficiency in IT operations management, enterprise architecture, and vendor oversight.
- Outstanding capabilities in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional teamwork.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience developing high-performance teams.
