Manager / Senior Manager - MEP

Job Overview

The role involves leading the comprehensive management of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects from initial planning through commissioning to final handover. The incumbent will ensure seamless coordination among various construction activities, adherence to timelines, budget control, and quality assurance across multiple disciplines including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete life cycle of MEP project execution, including planning, implementation, commissioning, and handover.
• Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring they meet project schedules, quality benchmarks, and financial plans.
• Review and coordinate detailed Structural, Architectural, Interior, Landscape, and MEP drawings to ensure integration and accuracy.
• Initiate and promote value engineering efforts to minimize costs and maximize project efficiency.
• Liaise with design consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
• Manage execution of key building services such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, ensuring systems are compliant and functional.
• Enforce strict adherence to quality control and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards throughout the project.
• Handle site logistics, scheduling, contractor management, and resource allocation to optimize workflow.
• Lead the process of testing, commissioning, addressing snags, and ensuring successful project handover to operations teams.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 12 years’ extensive experience in managing and executing MEP projects.
• Strong background in hospitality industry projects, specifically with experience in hotel and resort construction and renovations.
• Demonstrable knowledge of interior fit-outs, renovation projects, and upscale hospitality developments.
• Proven track record in managing multiple stakeholders and delivering projects within stipulated timeframes and budgets.
• Deep understanding of quality, safety protocols, statutory requirements, and construction management disciplines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in luxury hotels and resorts development and management.
• Familiarity with interior fit-out and renovation initiatives.
• Exposure to both greenfield and brownfield hospitality projects.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary project components effectively.

This position is based in Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Gir, Gujarat.
