About the Role

As a Manager - Scrum Master on the Aetna Enterprise Delivery team, you will bring a hybrid of Scrum Master and Project Management capabilities to lead critical technology programs. Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, eliminate obstacles, foster team collaboration, support Product Owners, and drive continuous process enhancements.

  • Apply project management skills to aid planning, coordination, and tactical execution of IT projects involving multiple business units and functions.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation and ensure agile principles such as collaboration, prioritization, accountability, and transparency are upheld by development and business teams.
  • Utilize Agile project management tools to organize daily Scrum activities and monitor progress.
  • Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile values and promote an agile mindset across the organization.
  • Serve as liaison among teams and stakeholders to shield teams from potential disruptions.
  • Update and manage Agile tracking systems providing transparency on product and sprint backlogs.
  • Analyze team productivity metrics, velocity, and quality data to generate actionable insights and recommend process improvements.

  • Participate in organizing development schedules, managing critical paths, dependencies and milestones to ensure projects meet scope, time, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Adapt planning and resource forecasts as needed to respond to emerging requirements, dependencies, and risks.

Qualifications

  • 6 to over 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Scrum Master and/or Project Manager roles.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Growth mindset with agility and focus on continuous development for self and others.
  • Proficient execution and delivery capabilities including planning and support.
  • Certification as a Scrum Master is required.

Preferred Experience

  • Project Management certification.
  • Exposure to the Healthcare industry.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting complex, large-scale software teams as Scrum Master.
