Role Overview

The Manager of Internal Communications will spearhead the creation and implementation of ACC's enterprise-wide internal communications strategy, frameworks, and channels. This position aims to enhance organisational alignment, boost engagement, and improve leadership communication across the company. You will lead a small team of internal communication experts who collaborate with various departments to deliver strategic, high-quality communications.

You will have a key role in shaping leadership messaging, enhancing strategic storytelling, and embedding effective two-way communication practices that support ACC in being a high-performing organisation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is NZD 140,293 to 181,555 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, there is a 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a favorable superannuation scheme characterized by no mandatory employee contributions, optional life and income protection insurance, and the flexibility to switch to a locked plan at any time.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive leadership experience in internal communications within complex organisations
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise communication strategies
  • Strong advisory skills and ability to influence senior leaders and executives
  • Experienced people leader with a focus on team growth and development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities combined with strong strategic insight
  • Well-developed stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Collaborative approach with a customer-centric mindset
  • A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Must have legal work rights in New Zealand at the time of application
  • Successful credit check required
