Maintenance Technician

Overview of the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our Christchurch depot team. In this position, you will work with advanced automated parcel processing equipment, ensuring all machinery is operating reliably and efficiently to support our delivery operations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of parcel and letter sorting machinery to maintain operational standards.
• Identify and resolve faults promptly to minimize operational downtime.
• Perform both planned maintenance activities and reactive repairs as needed.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a practical and analytical problem solver, comfortable working under pressure to quickly restore equipment functionality. A positive, adaptable outlook and commitment to delivering customer-focused results are essential.

• Holds New Zealand Electrical Registration or Electrical Service Technician Registration (papers A & B), or possesses a Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as an electrical or mechanical technician.
• Experience with control systems or programming is advantageous.

Working Hours and Schedule

The role requires participation in a 4-week rotational shift pattern including day, afternoon, night shifts, and weekend days. Shift schedules will be communicated in advance.
