Legal Associate

Overview

This role is based in Gurugram, Haryana, India, focused on providing legal support predominantly to the underwriting division and AXA XL's global legal team. The Legal Associate will assist by reviewing and negotiating everyday legal documents, coordinating workflows, and supporting various legal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, and oversee non-disclosure agreements, confidentiality agreements, assignments of rights, lender endorsements, and other legal documents received via a shared mailbox.
• Assist in coordinating projects and process improvement efforts locally and across international legal teams, reporting to the Head of Legal - Global Solutions & Wordings Strategies.
• Perform additional legal, administrative, and operational duties as assigned by the legal team.
• Collaborate closely and receive day-to-day supervision from the mailbox legal team based in Gurugram.

Required Experience and Skills

• Law degree or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent proficiency in written and verbal communication and ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for learning new processes and technologies including use of AI tools to improve workflows.
