Laboratory Technician

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position based in Singapore calls for a Laboratory Technician to assist in research and development as well as process enhancement for biobutanol manufacturing. The specialist will be responsible for executing routine and specialized lab tasks that include sample preparation, laboratory equipment operation and upkeep, experiment execution in line with protocols, and meticulous data recording.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fundamental analytical tests to support research activities.
• Contribute to quality control by monitoring bacterial strains and evaluating process outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in relevant fields such as Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Microbiology is preferred.
• Demonstrated practical laboratory skills with experience handling biological or chemical specimens and executing standard procedures.
• Proficient in operating, calibrating, and maintaining various laboratory instruments within safety and quality guidelines.
• Strong analytical aptitude including accurate data recording, initial data analysis, and careful attention during experiments.
• Familiarity with quality control processes including routine checks, documentation, and adherence to established protocols.
• Previous experience in a Laboratory Technician or equivalent technical capacity, ideally within biotechnology, microbiology, or chemical engineering sectors.
