Role Overview
The Kitchen Designer/Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing millwork projects from initial site measurements through installation. This position requires hands-on technical expertise in millwork design, production, and installation alongside strong project coordination skills to ensure projects align with client needs, budgets, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure sites on location to guarantee accuracy for custom millwork fabrication.
- Lead the coordination and management of projects from start to finish including scheduling, budgeting, and communication with clients.
- Interpret architectural blueprints and project specifications for accurate planning.
- Collaborate closely with designers, fabricators, installers, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Utilize Mozaik or similar CAD/CAM software to assist with millwork drafting and design review.
- Monitor production and installation phases to troubleshoot issues and maintain quality and timelines.
- Keep comprehensive documentation on project progress, change orders, and reports.
- Ensure all activities conform with safety regulations and building code standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Documented experience managing millwork or similar custom woodwork projects.
- In-depth understanding of millwork materials, products, and manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed millwork shop drawings.
- Proficiency in Mozaik or comparable CAD/CAM software used for millwork drafting.
- Knowledge of installation procedures for millwork and related best practices.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with capability to travel to project sites as necessary.
- Additional certification or degree in construction management, architecture, or comparable fields is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in millwork fabrication is considered a plus.
