Junior Financial Analyst

About the Role

Join a dynamic boutique advisory firm based in London specializing in the energy, infrastructure, and sustainable investment sectors. This role provides extensive exposure to advisory and transactional activities, enabling close collaboration with senior professionals and clients to support strategic growth planning and execute investment transactions in swiftly evolving markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in crafting pitch decks, teasers, and marketing presentations to support business development efforts.
• Perform financial analyses, valuations, and construct comprehensive financial models incorporating methods such as discounted cash flow and comparable company evaluations.
• Contribute to preparing transaction documents including teasers and information memoranda vital for client engagements.
• Facilitate communication amongst stakeholders involved in transactions, ensuring smooth information flow.
• Support all transaction stages, including due diligence, managing queries, and liaising with clients and external advisors like lawyers and accountants.
• Conduct detailed market and industry research and maintain standardized presentation resources.
• Develop case studies and concise transaction summaries for projects that have been completed.

Candidate Profile

• Degree-qualified preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or related analytical environments is preferred.
• Strong grasp of corporate finance concepts, valuation frameworks, and accounting principles.
• Proven skills in creating and updating financial models including DCF and M&A models.
• Experienced in preparing well-structured presentations, management reports, pipeline documentation, and analytical support materials.
• A proactive, self-driven individual with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• A keen interest in sustainable infrastructure, energy, and investment markets.
• High attention to detail paired with the capability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and oral; knowledge of an additional European language is advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
