Junior Clinical Fellow - Acute & General Medicine

Role Overview

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months starting in August, based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, part of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The Junior Clinical Fellow will primarily work within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) or General Internal Medicine (GIM) rotas, with opportunities to undertake taster sessions in specialist areas according to interest and department needs.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Participation in the general medical on-call rota.
• Providing clinical care under supervision across specialties such as frailty, respiratory, neurology, diabetes and endocrinology, acute medicine or general medicine.
• Assigned to one or more medical specialties based on applicant preferences and service requirements.
• Work overseen by specialist consultants.

Professional Support and Development

• Each fellow is appointed a Consultant Clinical Supervisor to guide and oversee their work.
• Access to regular teaching sessions to support ongoing professional education.
