Junior Accountant

About the Role

LUCA FALONI is seeking a detail-focused Junior Accountant to join their Finance team based in Kensington, London. This position offers a hybrid work model, with four days at the office and Fridays working remotely from home. It is ideal for someone early in their accounting career aiming to grow within an international luxury fashion company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in processing supplier invoices, expenses, and payments.
• Support accounts payable and receivable operations.
• Conduct bank and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records company-wide.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Help prepare management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor payment balances and resolve related inquiries.
• Contribute to VAT returns and statutory reporting tasks.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers and internal teams to clarify accounting issues.
• Support audit arrangements by providing necessary documentation.
• Assist in enhancing finance processes, controls, and reporting.
• Provide administrative support for the Finance department.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Some experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping roles is preferred.
• Good grasp of fundamental accounting principles.
• Strong numerical skills and analytical mindset.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Proactive, inquisitive, and solutions-driven.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team player with eagerness to learn and collaborate.
• Interest in luxury retail, fashion, or international consumer businesses is advantageous.
• Motivation to pursue or currently studying professional accounting certifications like ACCA or CIMA is beneficial.
