Joiner Multi Skilled

Role Summary

Progress Housing Group is seeking a Joiner Multi Skilled, also known as a Lead Joiner internally, to perform various joinery and multi-skilled trade tasks. This permanent role, based in Leyland, offers a salary of 37804 annually, with a 39-hour workweek. The duties involve kitchen installations, reactive repairs, void reinstatements, planned maintenance, and installation work across internal and external property clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality joinery work with strict adherence to safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Perform associated multi-trade duties including plastering, brickwork rendering, plumbing, tiling, screeding, and painting to ensure completion of work orders efficiently, ideally within a single visit.
• Maintain clear communication with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders, respecting customers and their homes while explaining the nature and objectives of assigned tasks.
• Comply with relevant Building Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Risk Assessments connected to the trade.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold a recognised trade qualification such as NVQ, SVQ, or City & Guilds.
• Possess a full UK driving license.
• Experience with multi-skilled tasks including plumbing, plastering, brickwork, tiling, and painting.
• Strong knowledge and application of workplace health and safety principles.
• Customer service experience with effective communication and a customer-centered mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
• Previous work experience for a Social Housing Landlord.
• A proactive attitude to personal development and achieving growth objectives.
