Role Overview
Based in our Adelaide studio, the IT Support Specialist will concentrate on delivering technical assistance specifically addressing user-related issues impacting production timelines. This position requires managing system administration tasks including server configuration and administration, performance monitoring and maintaining the security and stability of IT infrastructure across networks, systems, software, and hardware for all Keywords Studios locations in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central technical point of contact for Australian users, primarily providing on-site support at the Adelaide facility.
- Supply and manage a broad range of hardware and software solutions tailored to user needs.
- Assist with oversight and upkeep of the Australian IT network infrastructure.
- Ensure IT support complies with internal policies and meets client specifications across studios, departments and service lines.
- Identify and implement improvements to systems and workflows to support evolving service line requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT asset databases reflecting deployment status.
- Support system upgrades, installations, and integration initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive IT documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Administer server infrastructure to guarantee continuous uptime and peak performance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in IT roles focused on infrastructure delivery, application support, and IT service management.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities for diagnosing and resolving diverse technical challenges.
- Practical knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, switch and firewall configuration, and VPN management.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Active Directory and Office 365 hybrid environments.
- Expertise with Windows desktop systems troubleshooting; familiarity with Mac OS is advantageous.
- Experience working with virtualized environments such as ESXi and vSphere, including backup solutions like Veeam.
- Moderate proficiency in Linux system administration involving web services, scripting, and Active Directory integration.
- Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced network management knowledge, including subnetting and layer 2/3 switching and routing.
- Experience managing domain and DNS configurations.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes including request fulfillment, incident resolution, and problem management.
- Skills in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell and Bash.
- Exposure to automation and scripting platforms like Jenkins or Ansible.
- Experience or familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Atlassian tools.
