Role Overview

We seek an enthusiastic IT Support Specialist to join our IT team based in Toronto. This role involves providing both onsite and remote IT assistance to employees globally, handling support tickets, onboarding and offboarding processes, asset management, and supporting various IT systems and alerts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver onsite support at the Toronto office, resolving hardware and software issues for staff.
  • Provide remote IT assistance to employees in EMEA and US offices.
  • Manage and resolve IT support tickets with prompt follow-up and solutions.
  • Monitor user replies on tickets outside standard hours and respond as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot VPN problems, especially those raised in internal support channels.
  • Respond to Google Meet Kit alerts and assist with video conferencing troubleshooting.
  • Monitor IT system notifications, escalating issues appropriately.
  • Address IT-related queries posted via Slack channels.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding by provisioning equipment, accounts, and access.
  • Support offboarding processes, excluding physical device collection onsite.
  • Manage internal transfers ensuring IT system updates.
  • Handle contingent worker contract extensions liaising with HR and IT teams.
  • Process Google Group and Slack channel membership changes.
  • Assist with compliance and approvals for internal IT processes.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records for hardware and software in Toronto.
  • Update Uniflow badging systems and communicate changes on Slack.
  • Collaborate with vendors for purchase and stock of IT hardware.
  • Support Google Workspace administration, including access and group membership management.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 2 years’ experience in IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support.
  • Proficient with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with VPN, Google Workspace, endpoint security, antivirus, Slack, and asset management tools.
  • Familiarity with onboarding, offboarding, and automating IT workflows.
  • Basic networking knowledge including VPNs, firewalls, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced global environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Active Directory, and Zoom is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
