Role Summary

VCIB is recruiting an IT Support Specialist to join its energetic team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive technical assistance and maintain the bank’s internal IT systems to ensure uninterrupted daily functions. This role involves ensuring secure and dependable access to hardware, software, and essential banking applications for employees. You will collaborate closely with the Infrastructure, Information Security, and business departments to provide outstanding IT support within a highly regulated environment, contributing to the stability and efficiency of the bank’s technology infrastructure to uphold its core mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first and second-level technical support for employees in both office and remote settings, resolving technical problems promptly.
• Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals to support business activities.
• Administer user accounts, access rights, and identity management systems to maintain security compliance.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, VPN, and connectivity issues to reduce operational interruptions.
• Support enterprise tools like Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, Zoom, and similar collaboration platforms.
• Manage device provisioning and decommissioning during employee onboarding and offboarding, including asset tracking.
• Oversee IT asset management and equipment lifecycle to optimize resource use.
• Support endpoint security, compliance, patching, and cybersecurity best practices to protect organizational data.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, user manuals, and internal knowledge resources.
• Refer complex problems to Infrastructure, Cloud, or Information Security teams for specialized support.
• Participate in IT projects, technology upgrades, and initiatives aimed at improving service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least two years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or help desk roles.
• Proficient with Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and cloud collaboration platforms.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), endpoint management, and IT service management tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and customer service orientation.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated settings is advantageous.
