Position Overview

The Income Auditor within the Finance Department is tasked with the accurate and timely accountability of all daily revenue streams at the hotel. This role ensures compliance with standard operating procedures and maintains detailed subsidiary ledger records to support audits and tax processes, reporting directly to the Assistant Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit the Daily Flash Report accurately and punctually.
  • Complete the Daily Operations Package and Daily Income Journal Package within deadlines.
  • Verify revenues and analyze variances relating to negative postings, rate discrepancies, and Food & Beverage (F&B) voids and discounts.
  • Approve and ensure completeness of miscellaneous, allowance, and paid-out vouchers with sufficient explanations.
  • Reconcile F&B room charge reports with Front Office transactions to confirm accuracy of interfaced entries.
  • Reconcile monthly postings of Service Charges and VAT.
  • Validate Postings & Authorization forms for PM Accounts.
  • Investigate and report on all open F&B checks to the F&B Manager; conduct monthly surprise audits of open checks.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accounting of Raffles Checks, including guest names and entertainment purposes, excluding them from F&B and Spa revenue where applicable.
  • Verify Banquet Checks against Banquet Event Orders for accurate revenue recognition and appropriate internal transfers.
  • Monitor the sale and redemption of gift certificates and vouchers to ensure correct accounting.
  • Review and verify upselling incentives for Front Office and Spa monthly.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management as necessary.
