Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to manage and maintain HVAC systems including Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Fresh Air Handling Units (FAHUs), ventilation systems, and pumps. The technician will be responsible for daily inspections, performance monitoring, preventive and breakdown repairs, and ensuring optimal operation of HVAC equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and uphold the functioning of HVAC systems such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, FAHUs, ventilation systems, and associated pumps.
- Conduct daily inspections of all HVAC equipment and document operational parameters including temperature, pressure, flow, and electrical current.
- Implement preventive maintenance procedures and address equipment breakdowns swiftly.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, perform fault diagnostics, and resolve HVAC equipment failures promptly.
- Monitor chilled water supply and return temperatures, and maintain chilled water pumps, valves, strainers, and piping.
- Carry out cleaning and maintenance of filters, coils, drain trays, and blowers within AHUs and FCUs.
- Identify and respond to abnormalities such as unusual noise, vibrations, or leaks in equipment.
- Collaborate with Building Management System (BMS) operators to monitor HVAC performance via BMS when applicable.
- Operate HVAC systems in accordance with approved schedules and set operational parameters.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment breakdowns, and parts inventory.
- Coordinate with external vendors during Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and major equipment servicing.
- Adhere strictly to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols and maintain safety standards during maintenance work.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping of HVAC plant rooms and work sites.
- Respond rapidly to emergency HVAC issues and restore equipment functionality at the earliest.
