Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for administrative support to enhance the operations of the HR department at the unit level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate hiring request processes from unit leadership.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation activities; support recruitment and selection efforts as needed.
- Address inquiries about institutional and departmental HR policies, providing referrals when appropriate.
- Evaluate and suggest improvements to unit-level HR procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including salary, job status, terminations, and other transactions.
- Collect and distribute updates regarding HR policies and procedures within the unit.
- Process and initiate HR documentation such as hiring packets, job postings, schedules, and reports.
- Serve as a primary HR contact at the unit level for processes and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent education combined with experience.
- Minimum of three years relevant HR experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of HR policies and regulatory requirements at the institutional level applicable to units.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with office software and specialized HR computer applications.

Compensation
This role is classified at Grade 5 with an anticipated annual salary range of $49,308 to $71,170, commensurate with qualifications.
