Job Overview
Our client, located in the University area of Charlotte, NC, is looking for a Human Resources Assistant. This role suits a well-organized, detail-focused individual who thrives in supporting diverse HR operations within a dynamic workplace. The HR Assistant will handle administrative tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee records, and engagement, all while maintaining strict confidentiality and providing excellent internal service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate recruitment activities including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and onboarding new hires.
- Accurately maintain employee files and HRIS data.
- Manage processing of employee status updates and other HR documentation.
- Assist in payroll and benefits management, including audits, reports, and employee queries.
- Prepare HR-related reports, correspondence, and official records.
- Organize employee recognition efforts, engagement programs, and company events.
- Provide general administrative assistance such as filing, scheduling, and coordinating office needs.
- Support compliance measures, audits, and various HR initiatives as required.
- Safeguard sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or similar fields preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience supporting HR functions, administrative tasks, or executive assistance is desirable.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and handling employee information preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential personnel matters discreetly and professionally.
- Effective written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general workplace technology.
- Capable of multitasking and thriving within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience related to payroll, benefits, or employee support is advantageous.
