Role overview
Empire Homes is looking for a Home Orientation Representative to coordinate and carry out pre-closing inspections on newly built homes. In this position, you will identify deficiencies, document them in line with the Tarion Construction Performance Guidelines and the Ontario Building Code, and help ensure outstanding items are resolved before warranty submission. The role supports communities in Breslau, Caledonia, and Brantford and is being hired as a replacement position.
Compensation
The annual pay range for this opportunity is $50,000 to $65,000. The role is also eligible for participation in the company’s short-term incentive program. Compensation is presented as a general guide and may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and business needs.
Key duties
- Arrange homeowner inspection appointments according to the construction closing schedule.
- Lead in-person pre-delivery inspections with homeowners and the construction team before the initial warranty form is submitted.
- Track, report, and follow up on inspection-related items, including spreadsheets and internal aging reports.
- Communicate with homeowners and internal departments by email.
- Prepare on-site files and packages, including printed documents, site files, and CCP materials.
- Coordinate the completion of PDI deficiencies and follow up on home operations after closing.
- Perform exterior site audits as needed.
- Support on-site administrative staff when required.
- Travel to different sites and offices as business needs require.
What the company is looking for
- A college degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Two to three years of experience is preferred; familiarity with Tarion CPG and the Ontario Building Code is an asset.
- Comfort using computers, including Microsoft Suite, and the ability to learn new systems.
- Customer service exposure or experience is considered an asset.
- A valid G driver’s licence is required.
