About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and people-oriented Group IT Director to lead the IT operations within the Carey Group. This strategic leadership position focuses on building dynamic teams, driving digital transformation, and ensuring the infrastructure is secure and reliable to support continuous business activities. The role is based onsite in Kings Cross, New South Wales, Australia, with the workplace following a hybrid model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture a skilled IT team of 15 members, fostering a culture of service excellence and ongoing improvement.
- Maintain strong, secure IT systems with effective cybersecurity measures and ensure business continuity protocols are robust.
- Manage infrastructure, technical support, software licensing, and application efficiency.
- Align IT initiatives with organizational objectives and operational demands.
- Provide strategic guidance on capacity management, vendor relations, and governance within IT.
- Drive data strategy and reporting to enhance business decision-making insights.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership as a trusted IT advisor, promoting success through partnership and challenge.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced IT executive with a history of managing enterprise infrastructure and leading digital transformation efforts.
- Practical expertise with Microsoft environments, ERP platforms, cloud technologies, and networking.
- Excellent communication skills that translate technical concepts into business language.
- Background in managing IT within complex operational sectors such as construction, logistics, manufacturing, or retail is advantageous.
- Leadership style characterized by care, humility, passion, and authenticity.
