Grounds Person

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and trustworthy Grounds Person to maintain and enhance landscaped areas, gardens, pathways, and outdoor spaces across client sites. This role requires hands-on work to ensure these environments are safe, functional, and aesthetically appealing.

Key Responsibilities

• Upholding the upkeep of gardens, lawns, pathways, car parks, and surrounding landscapes.
• Operating equipment such as ride-on mowers, tractors, and multiple power and manual tools.
• Performing mowing, edging, pruning, hedge trimming, and weed management.
• Clearing litter, leaves, grass clippings, debris, and removing graffiti.
• Regular inspection and maintenance of grounds tools and vehicles.
• Managing inventory by ordering and maintaining grounds supplies and equipment.
• Identifying and reporting any maintenance concerns or safety risks immediately.
• Conducting routine checks on fences, access routes, and outdoor assets.
• Complying with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or horticulture-related roles.
• Competency in handling ride-on mowers and other landscaping machinery.
• Strong knowledge of safe work methodologies and hazard identification.
• Keen attention to detail with a proactive mindset toward maintaining quality.
• Capable of working autonomously and collaborating effectively within a team.
• Good communication skills paired with customer service orientation.
• Holding a valid driver's license is preferred.
• Ability to acquire any necessary site-specific clearances or licenses.
