Graphic Designer

Position Summary

This role involves creating and developing point-of-sale graphics and layouts used by suppliers, customers, and the corporate office. The Graphic Designer will produce visual content including charts, graphs, and illustrations that effectively communicate the artistic themes for various company materials such as flyers, posters, drink lists, and handbooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original designs, concepts, and sample layouts following principles of layout and aesthetic design.
• Create visuals using graphic software or other artistic media for company presentations and marketing materials.
• Prepare and assemble final layouts for printing and review these for quality and improvement suggestions.
• Perform production duties including photocopying, cutting, folding, mounting, and laminating of materials.
• Manage digital files and responsible equipment maintenance including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs.
• Ensure all projects meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Graphic Design.
• At least one year of experience in computer-based design and layout programs.
• Proficiency preferred in Adobe Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
• Ability to focus and work effectively in a noisy office environment.
• Physical ability to lift 30 pounds.

Working Conditions

The job involves working mostly in a standard office setting with a mix of sitting and standing as needed. Tasks require significant mental focus and visual concentration. Physical exertion is minimal with only occasional lifting of items up to 10 pounds. The work environment is generally safe with minimal risk of injury.
