Overview

Join Underworks, a leading Australian apparel brand with products sold in over 3,500 locations across Australia and New Zealand. This full-time in-house graphic design role based in Broadmeadows, Victoria presents a rare chance to design for a major national campaign spanning out-of-home advertising, digital media, and retail assets. You will also contribute directly to advancing sustainable packaging initiatives aligned with our core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and produce product labels and packaging designs, including preparing dyelines and managing prepress processes.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure packaging designs are correctly executed.
• Develop creative concepts for a large-scale national marketing campaign including billboards, bus wraps, and other large format media.
• Design various point-of-sale materials such as posters, shelf signage, and product display stands.
• Produce digital assets including social media graphics, website visuals, email marketing designs, and digital advertisements.
• Innovate sustainable packaging solutions that enhance environmental responsibility.
• Share ownership of packaging and print projects, working collaboratively with another designer during a dynamic growth phase.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant is a resourceful, detail-oriented graphic designer experienced with packaging design and print production. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple projects while demonstrating creative versatility—from refining intricate labels to developing nationwide campaigns. You have a genuine interest in branding, marketing, and customer engagement with an eagerness to expand your knowledge.

Essential Skills and Requirements

• Proven expertise in packaging and label design including prepress and print production processes.
• Experience liaising with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Confident in creating digital content for social media, websites, and email marketing campaigns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Available to work full-time on-site at our Broadmeadows facility, with free parking provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Although not mandatory, enthusiasm or skills related to large-format/outdoor media design, packaging sustainability standards (e.g. APCO), copywriting, photography, photo retouching, motion graphics, digital marketing, or SEO are highly desirable.
