About the Role
Corston Architectural Detail is looking to hire a motivated Graduate Design Assistant to contribute to the design and execution of its prestigious global showroom and trade show environments. This position offers a valuable opportunity for recent graduates aiming to start their career in design, architecture, or engineering by working on international projects that bring the Corston brand to life through premium exhibition and customer spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and refinement of showroom and trade show concepts across international locations.
- Create detailed layouts, visual presentations, mood boards, and conceptual designs aligned with Corston's branding vision.
- Support preparation of design documentation and project information packages.
- Research and recommend materials, finishes, fixtures, and current design trends.
- Help ensure consistency in design standards across global showrooms.
- Coordinate multiple international design projects by collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and external partners.
- Help manage project planning, specifications, and updating design documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with planning for installation and showroom launches.
Learning and Development
- Gain hands-on experience with global showroom and trade show initiatives.
- Learn from experienced designers and project stakeholders.
- Develop skills in technical design, creativity, and project management.
- Build a foundation for a sustainable career in design and project delivery within an expanding international firm.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or closely related field.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, 3D CAD tools, and/or Revit demonstrated through academics, internships, or personal projects.
- Strong design sensibility with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication capabilities combined with organizational skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive mindset.
- Desirable: familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp or equivalent design software.
- Understanding of technical drawings and design documentation is a plus.
- Internship or placement experience relevant to design industry advantageous.

Work Location and Schedule
