Role Overview
Elysia Wellness Retreat is looking for a seasoned and motivating General Manager to take charge of one of the country’s premier wellness properties. This role suits a commercially minded hospitality leader who can shape strategy, improve financial outcomes and oversee daily operations while guiding a team committed to exceptional service.
Reporting to the Cluster General Manager, you will hold responsibility for the Retreat’s overall performance, including guest satisfaction, business results and team culture. The position requires leadership across Spa & Wellness, hotel operations, Food & Beverage and wider commercial activities, along with close collaboration with owners, stakeholders and the Minor Hotels network.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Retreat’s financial performance, including revenue management, profitability, budgeting and forecasting.
- Strengthen operational performance across Spa & Wellness, accommodation, Food & Beverage and hotel services.
- Ensure guests consistently receive premium experiences and that presentation and service standards remain exceptional.
- Coach, develop and inspire the leadership team while promoting a healthy, high-performing workplace culture.
- Spot and convert commercial opportunities that can increase revenue through wellness offerings, retail, packages and partnerships.
- Maintain productive relationships with owners, stakeholders and the local community.
- Make sure all company policies, legal obligations and Work Health & Safety requirements are followed.
Candidate Profile
You should be an accomplished hotel or resort leader with a strong interest in luxury hospitality, wellness and people leadership. The ideal candidate will have managed premium operations and delivered both strong guest outcomes and sound commercial results.
In addition, you will bring leadership depth, stakeholder confidence and a track record of building effective teams. A commitment to continuous improvement and creating memorable guest experiences is essential.
