Role Overview

We are seeking a General Assistant specializing in cleaning to uphold superior hygiene standards throughout our gym premises. This part-time position involves approximately 20 hours per week, focusing on maintaining spotless workout zones, changing areas, and other shared spaces to create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all users.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning across all gym areas, including floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and communal zones.
• Sanitize and disinfect surfaces ensuring a hygienic environment is consistently maintained.
• Manage waste by emptying bins, replacing liners, and adhering to proper disposal protocols.
• Track and replenish cleaning supplies, alerting management when stock runs low.
• Collaborate with gym staff to ensure smooth member experiences.
• Promptly report any maintenance or repair requirements.
• Consistently maintain Everlast Gyms' hygiene and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is advantageous but not a requirement; full training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with cleaning methods, sanitization processes, and safe handling of chemicals; training available if needed.
• Effective time management and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Good communication skills and a cooperative team spirit.
• Availability to work during evenings and weekends according to gym operating hours.
