Role Overview

The company is seeking a Founding Product Designer to shape the look, feel, and usability of Murphy's product suite. Currently a collection of powerful internal tools, this role will unify and elevate these into an intuitive product that users will value deeply. This is a key founding position focused on designing the leading AI product in a market valued over $300 billion, where the designer owns the craft with limitless potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and management of the comprehensive design system that governs the entire product experience, setting standards for all delivered features.
• Consolidate multiple tools—including back-office, front-office, and agent-configuration utilities—into a single cohesive product that operators find seamless to use.
• Simplify complex interfaces into clear user experiences for configuring AI agents, monitoring thousands of concurrent calls, and managing workflows.
• Transform the current service model, which requires extensive engineering setup, into a self-service platform enabling customers to independently deploy and control their agents.
• Develop and iterate real prototypes connected to live data, leveraging AI to enable design and development processes more efficiently than traditional methods.
• Analyze intricate problems deeply to understand subtleties and craft elegant solutions addressing root causes effectively.

Candidate Profile

• An experienced product designer with a track record of taking product design from concept to launch, ideally through founding design roles or lead roles that involved hands-on coding or implementation.
• Strong aesthetic judgement and passion for creating outstanding products with a “wow” factor.
• Outcome-driven mindset with perseverance to refine product details under pressing timelines until the product reaches high quality.
• Fluent in integrating AI tools into the design workflow, knowing how to capitalize on automation while rigorously maintaining quality standards.
• Experience designing for desktop web platforms, especially B2B contexts, simplifying complex systems into user-friendly interfaces.
• Domain expertise in collections or fintech is not essential; the right designer will swiftly learn relevant regulations and enterprise user needs.
