About the Role

Join our team as a Foodservice Worker, where you'll contribute to a meaningful, steady full-time position focused on preparing and distributing meals to students and staff in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This role supports daily cafeteria functions at a school, ideal for dependable individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy positively impacting their community.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute meals following recipes, production guidelines, and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and serving areas.
• Restock serving lines, salad bars, and refrigeration units.
• Adhere to food storage, rotation, and sanitation protocols.
• Serve meals courteously to students, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and inventory management.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
• Comply with all local, state, federal, and company health and safety standards.
• Support team members by covering shifts or assisting as needed.
• Submit required reports on time and fulfill additional duties to aid the kitchen team and school meal initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or cleaning preferred.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and reliability.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and follow standardized procedures.
• Basic math and computer literacy.
• Must pass background check and fingerprint screening.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Enjoyment working around children and integration within a school community.
• Professionalism, respect, and inclusivity toward coworkers and customers.

Physical and Work Environment

• Ability to stand throughout an entire shift and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, walking, and hand use required.
• Work takes place in a moderately noisy, fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Full-time schedule Monday through Friday, with occasional extended weeks.
• Participation in company events or meetings may be required.
