Overview
We are seeking a Financial Planning Accountant to join a Tech/CDIO finance team on a 12-month contract based in Dublin, requiring two days per week onsite. This role is integral for managing financial operations in a dynamic, high-expenditure tech environment, working closely with cross-functional teams rather than traditional finance roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and approve contractor and agency expenditures involving more than 30 partners, ensuring prompt payments.
- Administer purchase requisition approvals along with monthly recharge invoicing.
- Prepare monthly contractor accrual reports.
- Collaborate with finance business partners to support forecasting and budget planning activities.
- Track and analyze IT expenditure variances for insight and action.
- Initiate cost-saving measures through process enhancements, including leveraging AI and automation technologies.
- Provide temporary coverage for the Finance Planning Manager when required.
- Translate and present financial information clearly for audiences without finance backgrounds.
Qualifications and Experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certified (or equivalent) with over five years of experience post-certification.
- Extensive experience in a cross-functional accounting and business partnering capacity beyond the typical month-end technical accounting tasks.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Office applications and comfortable navigating both IT and finance systems.
- Strong command of English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in reporting and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately handle large-scale spend and contractor processing within strict deadlines.
- Proven success in driving operational improvements and cost reductions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
