About the Role

As a Financial Controller at Corenza, you will be responsible for leading financial control, reporting, compliance, and governance functions with a dedicated emphasis on Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provisioning. You will oversee audits, internal controls, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and supervise timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage general ledger, conduct account reconciliations, and oversee financial closing processes.
  • Enforce strict financial controls and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Deliver financial analysis and insights to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with Ind AS standards and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Review complex transaction accounting treatments and advise appropriate methods.
  • Collaborate with auditors and consultants on Ind AS implementation and reporting matters.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards changes and evaluate their impact on the organization.
  • Develop, review, and monitor ECL models and provisioning approaches compliant with Ind AS 109.
  • Analyze credit risk, portfolio performance, and adequacy of provisions.
  • Work alongside Risk, Credit, and Business teams for data validation and impairment assessment.
  • Present insights and recommendations on ECL trends to senior management.
  • Lead statutory, internal, tax, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations and enhance internal controls and governance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Prepare management reports, board presentations, and financial dashboards monitoring key metrics.
  • Lead and mentor finance and accounting staff, setting performance standards and improving processes continuously.
  • Promote automation and efficiency across finance operations.

Candidate Profile

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial regulations.
  • Experience with RBI regulations and financial services compliance.
  • Ability to present financial outcomes and provisioning analyses to senior leadership and auditors.
  • Proficient in accounting ERP systems such as SAP, Tally, Oracle, or equivalents.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and competence in managing high-volume transaction environments.
  • Collaborative team player able to deliver under tight deadlines.
